Personal and Professional Growth Go Hand-in-Hand

Updated: Mar 1

Before we can truly position our businesses for growth, WE need to grow.

Personal growth and professional growth go hand-in-hand.

It makes sense, right? And yet sometimes, I still feel like I have to separate "Personal Jennifer" from "Work Jennifer."

The truth is, we don't check who we are at the door when we head into work for the day. So many personal growth examples directly correlate to how we show up in our professional lives:

✔️ Developing a growth mindset.

✔️ Learning resiliency.

✔️ Improving your emotional intelligence.

✔️ Finding self-confidence.

✔️ Upleveling your communication skills.

✔️ Welcoming those perspective shifts.

And yes—while a peer advisory group certainly checks the professional development boxes, it's also a great opportunity to improve personally. Surrounding yourself with other like-minded trusted leaders outside of your business ensures that you feel more comfortable leading from a place of your own values and strengths.

Striving for continuous improvement on a personal level will help you be the best you can be for not only your business, but your family, friends, and the community you call home.
